New perspective

It can be baffling when a feeling of flatness starts to linger when life usually feels good and nothing tangible seems to have changed. You can go round in circles and might get caught up in overthinking trying to work out whatโ€™s wrong.
When all the components of a happy life seem to be there but youโ€™ve lost touch with a sense of hope and excitement, it may be your personal perspective that needs reframing. Sometimes a negative mindset can creep up on us โ€“ you may not realise youโ€™re viewing life through a lens that filters out the good and focuses on whatโ€™s not quite right or what might go wrong. Itโ€™s often connected with a knock in confidence which can manifest as an unease about challenging yourself or even doing things that youโ€™ve previously taken in your stride.
Often thereโ€™s a trigger that goes unnoticed โ€“ a seemingly a casual remark or minor incident can sometimes tap into old doubts or hurts and set your mind into fearful mode. Berating yourself for feeling low only fuels this mindset, so treat yourself with compassion, and donโ€™t expect to reconnect with your spark overnight. Instead, focus on self-care, making sure every day includes something that makes you feel nurtured. A daily gratitude exercise can also help remind you of what you love.
